There are few honours in this life greater than carrying the words of Allah in your heart. When you sponsor a Hafiz, you help a child reach that honour, and you share in the reward of every verse they recite for the rest of their life.
The virtues of the people of the Quran
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it,” as reported in Sahih al-Bukhari.
He ﷺ also said that on the Day of Judgement it will be said to the companion of the Quran: recite and rise, and recite slowly as you used to recite in the world, for your rank will be at the last verse you recite, as reported by Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi.
The reward does not stop with the child. Narrations describe the parents of the one who learns the Quran and acts upon it being honoured with a crown on the Day of Judgement. When you sponsor a student, you are helping a whole family.
Hifz and a full education together
In many parts of Pakistan, poor families send their children to traditional madrasas where they learn the Quran but very little else. When the children finish, they struggle to find work or continue their studies.
Our three-year Hifz programme is different. In the first year, students focus on Tajweed and memorising shorter surahs. From the second year, they also study Urdu, maths, geography, history and English. Many go on to complete their tenth year with us and continue to college or university.
Classes are kept small so every child gets close, personal attention from their teacher.
What it costs to sponsor a Hafiz
- £20 a month or £240 a year sponsors one Hifz student.

- Any amount helps towards our Hifz Complex, which aims to house 300 students.
A lasting legacy
A child who memorises the Quran will recite it in prayer, teach it to their children and perhaps lead others in Taraweeh one day. Each of those recitations can be counted for the person who helped them begin.
